About Me

I am a Welsh-speaking community development practitioner of 20 years’ experience, researcher, digital inclusion trainer, project manager and co-operator with over 8 years experience of workforce development and support for those employed on the recently-ended Communities First (CF) tackling poverty programme.

I now work freelance offering services around:

  • community development consultancy and training
  • community development research,
  • placemaking
  • podcast production

I have also founded various social and private enterprises such as Valleys Ale Trails, Expo’r Wal Goch and Grow Social Capital.

I set-up the world’s first podcast dedicated to the diverse topics of community development and the Wales football team: The Community Development Podcast; and Podcast Pêl-droed.

I am published on the topic of community anchors, community development and also Welsh football and believes in the power of community and social capital for tackling inequality, enhancing wellbeing and taking care of the planet.
