After a decade of austerity, the end of large government-sponsored programmes such as Communities First, the imminent end of LEADER, and Brexit on the horizon, it could be assumed that community organisations have been in the grip of a storm.

This research project aims to examine how ‘anchor organisations’ – those independent locally-rooted, locally-accountable and locally-owned community organisations – are navigating these choppy waters.

The project comes to an end at the end of 2020.
